Car crashes into Eagle Rock home, hitting 5-year-old and mother
LOS ANGELES - Three people, including a child, were injured after a crash in Eagle Rock Saturday morning, after a car drove into an home.
The crash was reported around 10 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department, in the 1900 block of N. Avenue 51.
According to firefighters, the car had crashed into a building. Crews were able to pull the three people out of the wreckage and bring them to the hospital in critical condition.
"We heard the crash and of course the sirens," said Josh Fisher. "It was like a slam, bam!"
According to a neighbor, a 5-year-old boy and his mother were seriously injured by the collision. The neighbor said the boy and his mother had been watching TV when a driver crashed a car into their living room.

The car’s driver was also injured but is expected to be okay.
"We noticed the car was in the house," said Felix Valde. "When we first saw it, I was like that looks pretty bad."
Surveillance video shared with FOX 11 captured the crash’s aftermath. People can be seen running towards the screams to help.
"Cars will [often times] hit another car, or a street sign or something like that [at this intersection] but not actually go into a house."
Residents that live in the area described the intersection as dangerous. There is a stop sign, but nearby residents say drivers often don’t stop.
"People just never stop," said Kevin Willette. "My mother-in-law’s car has been struck three times. People just blast through it."
"That stop sign isn’t slowing people down," said Valde. "There needs to be some safety measures that are done here."
Officials are still investigating what caused the crash.
