'Bed Cinema,' the outdoor movie screening with actual beds, is coming to L.A. this summer
VENICE, Calif. (FOX 11) - This summer, residents in the greater Los Angeles area will get the chance to get cozy at the world's largest outdoor bed cinema.
The Bed Cinema comes to Venice in August, giving people the magic of watching a movie from the comfort of a bed. The cinema plans to screen a number of blockbuster films and will have more than 150 double beds complete with pillows, blankets and LED-lit bedside tables. Each bed can accommodate three people, according to the company's website. Guests can also bring their own picnic blankets if lying in bed isn't their preferred movie-viewing position.
The Bed Cinema will take place in a number of locations across the United States this summer.
The "bed" movie experience costs $35 per person or $65 for a couple, according to the company. That cost includes the bed, pillows and blankets you use. Movie-goers looking to save some money can book lawn spots for $10, but would be required to BYOB (bring your own blanket).
The exact location, dates, times and movie lineup have not been announced. To stay up to date on Bed Cinema news, sign up for the company's email list.
