Rapper Big Sean honored by 'Project Knapsack' for generous humanitarian works

(FOX 11) - Big Sean is usually the one who sings, but a crowd was singing his praises tonight at The W Hotel in Westwood. He was the recipient of a Humanitarian award for his generosity with the Sean Anderson Foundation and Project Knapsack.

Thanks to Big Sean: 20,000 knapsacks filled with school supplies were donated to children in need JUST in time for back to school season!

We talked to Big Sean about the importance of giving back, and Nelson Mandela's great-grandson Luvuyo Mandela, who presented Big Sean with the award tonight.
