Las Vegas Massacre: Turning bad memories into positivities
(FOX 11) - One year ago this coming Monday a gunman perched high in the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas mowed down dozens of people and injured hundreds.22,000 were caught up in the chaos. The majority were from Southern California.
From a perch on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort 64-year-old Steven Paddock carried out an unimaginable attack on thousands of innocent people.
It was the third night of the Route 91 Harvest Festival. Shiva Ghaed, Tiffany Huizar and Taylor Winston were among the 22,000 people enjoying the country sounds of Jason Aldean.
Huizar was shot three times. Winston saved some 30 people by throwing them in a pickup truck he found. And, Ghaed has held regular therapy sessions to help victims.
