1 person dead, 3 others hurt after shooting in South L.A. near Nipsey Hussle procession route
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (FOX 11) - Police are investigating a shooting in South L.A. that left one person dead and three others hurt Thursday evening.
The shooting was reported just before 6:30 p.m. in the area of 103rd Street and Main Street about three blocks away from the Nipsey Hussle funeral procession route.
Although the procession had passed near the shooting scene, it was not in the area when the shooting occurred, police said.
Four people were shot -- one person died, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. All victims were taken to the hospital.
LAPD Chief Michel Moore tweeted that three of the victims were black males and one was a black female all ranging between 30 to 50 years old. It was not immediately known which of the victims died.
The suspects were seen leaving the area in a gray Hyundai. A description of the gunman was not immediately known.
The investigation is ongoing.
