5-year-old, three others shot at park in South L.A.

A 5-year-old girl and three other people were hurt during a drive-by shooting on Tuesday night in South Los Angeles.

Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department were called to Vermont Square Park in the area of S. Kansas Avenue and W. 47th Street at about 8 p.m. for a report of a shooting.

The 5-year-old girl was conscious and breathing when officers located her. At least three other people were also shot, according to Los Angeles police. They were also conscious and breathing.

All of the victims were taken to a nearby hospital but while three are in stable condition, one person is in critical condition, according to LAPD.

It's unknown if the victims were the intended target of the gunman but LAPD said this is a gang-related shooting.

It's unclear if the victims were gang members.

About 10 shots were fired, according to LAPD. Police don't have a suspect in custody at this time, although a person of interest was detained and released. Police are searching for a dark-colored vehicle, possibly an SUV.
