Boy dies of apparent drowning in La Habra Heights

LA HABRA HEIGHTS, Calif. (FOX 11 / CNS) - Authorities on Tuesday were investigating the apparent drowning death of a boy in a residential swimming pool in La Habra Heights.

The boy, under 10 years of age, was taken from the 1200 block of Mayapan Road about 11:30 p.m. Monday to a hospital, where he died, according to the Los Angeles County sheriff's Industry Station.

Authorities withheld his name, pending notification of his relatives.

An autopsy was pending.
