The dramatic video shows a carjacking suspect crashing into cars! The bizarre scene playing out while frightened drivers watched in disbelief.

A man driving a stolen Jeep carjacked an SUV in the Pasadena area today after rear-ending it, then sped away and crashed the vehicle into some parked cars in Burbank before being taken into custody
following a struggle with a California Highway Patrol officer, authorities said.

The incident began about 9:15 a.m. in the general area of Allen Avenue and the Foothill (210) Freeway, where a motorist was reported to be driving erratically, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Pasadena police were notified by the CHP that the suspect was being sought, but were unable to locate him.

Around that time, the CHP became aware that a white SUV had been carjacked, apparently by the same suspect following a traffic crash, and the vehicle was on the westbound 210 Freeway, according to the CHP and broadcast reports.

A short time afterward, the suspect crashed the SUV into some parked vehicles in the general area of Buena Vista Street and Riverside Drive in Burbank, and he was taken into custody following a struggle with a CHP officer who briefly clung to the still-moving auto before it came to a stop.
