Emergency crews search for missing swimmer in Pacific Palisades area

LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - UPDATE: Search ends after mistaken report of swimmer missing off Pacific Palisades

First responders are on scene of a reported missing swimmer in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles Wednesday night.

An LAPD helicopter is searching for the swimmer as L.A. County Fire Department lifeguards search the waters off Will Rogers Beach.

The emergency response was triggered by a 911 call shortly after 9 p.m. reporting that a person had gone out swimming but did not come out.

No evidence has been yet found of a swimmer out in the waters.
