Former NFL player Jonathan Martin threatens school

COLDWATER CANYON, CA (FOX 11) - It's an exclusive private school nestled into the Valley side of Coldwater Canyon with a long list of high achieving alums. Among them is Jonathan Martin, who made it to the NFL by way of Stanford before flaming out after a few years amidst accusations (substantiated) that teammates bullied him and taunted him with racial slurs.

Fast forward, Martin has been detained, so far not arrested, by the LAPD after allegedly posting an implied threat against some of his former teammates and the Harvard Westlake School in Instagram.

In the climate that we're in, so soon after the Florida mass shooting, the post caused the school officials to shut the campus down today out of , as they say 'an abundance of caution'.

Martin is apparently troubled and hopefully is getting the help he needs.
