Graffiti threatening shooting at Cal State Long Beach discovered on campus bathroom
LONG BEACH, Calif. (FOX 11) - Graffiti threatening a shooting at California State University Long Beach was discovered inside a campus bathroom.
Campus police were investigating the message and working to determine if the threat was legitimate Wednesday night.
At about 11:13 p.m., the university tweeted, "An initial assessment is that there is no immediate threat to the campus. Similar messages have been found recently at other institutions. However, the university will enhance police presence as an added precaution."
Pictures of the purported message found in a bathroom stall were posted on social media and contained the phrase "School shooter tm Be warned 5- 9."
As of now, classes will continue as normal on Thursday. Final exams are scheduled to begin Monday.
