Hundreds gather to hear James Comey speak in downtown L.A.; protesters show up

(FOX 11) - Hundreds showed up to the Aratani Theatre in downtown Los Angeles Thursday to hear former FBI Director James Comey speak about his new book.

The event was a sellout with more than 800 tickets sold, and some protesters showed up.

"I thought he was very fair, I was disappointed with how he dealt with the Clinton affair, both times, but I'm sure he has his own story and I'd like to hear that story," said Larry Harris.

"It's outrageous that this guy is still out walking around free," said one Trump supporter. "What Hillary did, her private server that she had classified information on in her own home, I used to work for the government, I mean that is so outrageous she's like the Harvey Weinstein of classified information, she should be in jail and he should be in jail."

"I have to believe from everything that I read that he did a good job," said Akila Gibbs. "Did he make mistakes? Im sure he did, but I think by and large everything I've read I think he did a good job, and I don't think he deserved to be fired."
