Surveillance video captures man stabbing doughnut shop customer in Maywood
MAYWOOD, Calif. (FOX 11) - The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department released surveillance video of a man they say is wanted for attempted murder in Maywood and are asking the community for help identifying him.
Authorities say the suspect entered the Yum Yum Donuts store in the 5900 block of Atlantic Boulevard at about 3 p.m. on Feb. 10 and stabbed a 63-year-old Hispanic man with a knife in the upper torso.
The incident was captured on the shop's surveillance camera.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and wa sexpected to survive, said the Sheriff's Office.
The suspect was last seen heading north on Atlantic Boulevard and out of view.
The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 25-30 years old, 5-feet 6-inches tall with a beard. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue shirt, blue sweatpants, black shoes and a black hat similar to the one seen by itself in the picture.
