Plane makes emergency landing in middle of street in Buena Park
BUENA PARK, Calif. (FOX 11) - A small plane with two occupants onboard made an emergency landing in the middle of the street in Buena Park Thursday afternoon.
The incident occurred in the area of Commonwealth Avenue and Dale Street just south of the Fullerton Airport.
Both occupants of the Cessna 172 are doing fine and not hurt after the pilot landed the plane safely, an FAA official said. A small fuel spill was reported after the hard landing.
No one on the ground was injured either. The FAA says the right wing of the plane struck a road sign.
The cause of the incident is under investigation. No further details were immediately known.
