3 men shot and killed in gated Porter Ranch neighborhood
PORTER RANCH, Calif. (FOX 11) - Los Angeles police are investigating a shooting in Porter Ranch that left three people dead Monday afternoon.
The shooting occurred shortly before 4 p.m. at a home in the 20300 block of Via Galileo.
A Los Angeles Fire Department crew was initially dispatched to the area following a 911 call from someone associated with the house and discovered three male victims inside the home and immediately called the Los Angeles Police Department, officials said.
During a news conference on Tuesday, the victims were identified as Gary Davidson, 39, Benny Lopez, 46 and Jesus Perez, 34.
LAPD says at this time, it appears someone entered the home and shots were fired. Los Angeles police Capt. William Hayes said a woman who lives at the home and was upstairs at the time of the shootings called 911 to report the crime. There were no signs of forced entry at the home, Hayes said.
On Monday night, detectives canvassed what police described as a "large crime scene."
No arrests have been made and no suspect description is available at this time. Investigators said that they have an idea why the shooting occurred, but they are not releasing that information as to not compromise the investigation.
Authorities ask anyone with information regarding this homicide to contact the LAPD.
