Two dead, three injured in Huntington Beach crash
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (FOX 11) - Police Tuesday continued to investigate a two-vehicle crash that killed two people in Huntington Beach and sent three others to a hospital.
Officers responded to a report of a crash in the area of Beach Boulevard and Taylor Drive at 9:25 p.m. Monday. Arriving officers discovered a red Honda Fit with major passenger side damage. The driver of the Honda, a 29-year-old male from Chino Hills, and his passenger, a 36-year-old female from Huntington Beach, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities also located three people injured in a second vehicle, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department. The second vehicle, a Volkswagen Passat, had sustained major front end damage. The three patients in the second vehicle were taken to a hospital in unknown condition, police said.
The names of the deceased victims were not immediately released.
The cause of the crash was under investigation, but alcohol or drugs did not appear to be factors in the accident, the HBPD said.
