Two residents visiting West Hollywood to visit the Supreme store were stunned after getting caught up in chaos caused by a water main break in the area. 

A massive early-morning water main rupture flooded major corridors of West Hollywood on Thursday, buckling streets, collapsing sidewalks, and triggering widespread traffic gridlock.  Emergency crews worked for nearly three hours to methodically shut down the pressurized pipeline, leaving some local residents without water and key transportation routes closed for the foreseeable future.

A massive 36-inch water main break in West Hollywood has flooded local streets, collapsed a sidewalk sinkhole on Palm Avenue, and forced the indefinite closure of Sunset Boulevard.

Metro buses are also being rerouted in the area.

A Los Angeles Department of Water and Power spokeswoman said utility crews were on the scene working to shut off the flow of water.

Water was seen spewing from the area of Sunset Boulevard and Holloway Drive to Santa Monica Boulevard and into the Metro bus yard on Santa Monica Boulevard near San Vicente Boulevard.
