Flex Alert issued for this Tuesday and Wednesday

Due to high temperatures in the greater Los Angeles area, in California and most of the western United States, the California ISO has issued a statewide Flex Alert that calls for voluntary electricity conservation from 5pm to 9pm Tuesday, July 24th and Wednesday, July 25th.


Consumers are urged to conserve electricity especially during the late afternoon and evening when air conditioners typically are at peak use. By turning off all unnecesary lights, using major appliances before 5pm and after 9pm and setting air conditioners to 78 degrees or higher.
