Deadly crash snarls traffic on southbound 5 Freeway at 405 Freeway split
LOS ANGELES - A person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on the southbound 5 Freeway at the 405 Freeway split in Granada Hills on Friday morning, officials said.
The crash was reported at 5:14 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The four right lanes were blocked and the crash impacted commuters coming from the Santa Clarita Valley.
All lanes were reopened by 7:30 a.m.
Officials did not immediately release the name of the victim and the cause of the crash was under investigation.
