Police raid illegal gambling operation in Pacoima

LOS ANGELES - Multiple people were detained for questioning after LAPD SWAT raided a suspected illegal gambling business in Pacoima late Wednesday night. 

LAPD officers served a search warrant to the storefront located on Van Nuys Boulevard between San Fernando Road and Glenoaks Boulevard around 10 p.m.

Shortly after arriving at the scene, several people inside the business ran to the roof attempting to hide and were met with SWAT officers. 

An estimated dozen people were detained for questioning as investigators worked to determine the role those detained played in the business. 

Police also removed all computers from the business as evidence. 

It was unclear how many arrests were made.
