Elex Michaelson was the only local TV reporter to travel to the Middle Kingdom to document Governor Newsom’s historic week-long journey there, focused on climate.

Throughout the course of the week, Newsom's delegation signed memorandums of understanding, visited a Tesla factory, experienced Chinese landmarks like the Forbidden City and the Great Wall, and met one-on-one with Chinese President Xi.
