COVINA, Calif. (FOX 11) - Detectives with Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department are investigating a shooting that left one person dead at an apartment complex in unincorporated Covina Wednesday afternoon.
Deputies responded to the 21000 block of Arrow Highway at about 3:10 p.m. for a report of a shooting. Arriving deputies located a gunshot victim who was taken to Pomona Valley Hospital where they were pronounced dead, according to the Sheriff's Department said.
A description of the gunman was not immediately known.
The public is being asked to avoid the area which will remain taped off until the on-scene investigation is complete.
No additional information has been released at this time.
