14 injured in crash involving bus in East Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES - Fourteen people were injured Wednesday in a crash involving a bus in East Los Angeles.
The crash was reported around 10:45 a.m. at the intersection of East Whittier Boulevard and Downey Road, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The intersection was expected to remain closed for a few hours as authorities investigated the crash.

The collision involved a Metro bus and a yellow Volkswagen Beetle. Emergency responders had to extricate at least one person from the crumpled VW, which slammed into a pole.
Three people were critically injured in the crash, authorities said. The remaining 11 patients received only minor injuries, LA County Fire said.
It was unclear what caused the crash.
