14th annual Taste of Soul festival this Saturday on Crenshaw Blvd

The Taste of Soul Family Festival is underway for the fourteenth straight year on Crenshaw Boulevard to celebrate all things "soulful," in Los Angeles. 

The festival was dubbed by Los Angeles Mayor, Eric Garcetti, as the largest one-day ‘free’ street festival and event in all of L.A. City & County, with over 350,000 attendees.

The event takes place annually every third Saturday in October.

Some of the anchors and reporters you see every day from FOX 11 will be at the event on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You can also meet Dish Nation's Headcrack, Dr. Nita from The Doctors, and many more. Here's the schedule of appearances:

11:00 a.m.: Leah Uko, Matt Johnson, Pablo Alsina, Gina Silva
12:30 p.m.: Christine Devine, Elex Michaelson, Liz Habib, Pablo Pereira, Susan Hirasuna, Phil Shuman, Dr. Nita Landry

The festival boasts of five amazing performance stages, featuring world-renown artists, award-winning singers, and your favorite bands. The founder and creator, Danny Bakewell Sr. stopped by Good Day LA along with a few venders and Grammy award-winning Gospel singer Erica Campbell for a preview of the big weekend. 

Sharibella Events and MTB Rentals helped us recreate the look and feel of the street festival. DJ AK  helped us groove to the popular tunes of the day.
