2 men detained after reports of shots fired in Eastvale
EASTVALE, Calif. - Two men were detained, and an elementary school was temporarily placed on lockdown after reports of shots fired in Eastvale on Tuesday afternoon.
The reports came from the 6000 block of Gladiola Street around 11:25 a.m., according to Deputy Mike Vasquez with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
Harada Elementary School was placed on lockdown for about one hour as deputies canvassed the area. The lockdown was lifted by 12:35 p.m.
One man was detained and a second suspect was later located by deputies in the area. Both men were taken into custody and arrested.
It was not immediately known what their charges were.
Residents were asked to avoid the area.
