HESPERIA, Calif. (FOX 11) - A mother was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment Saturday after her 2-month-old daughter was reported missing, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said.
The infant, identified as Ashlynn Thomas, was reported missing at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, authorities said. She was found Sunday morning and appeared to be in "good health," according to an update on Twitter from the sheriff's department.
During the missing child investigation, authorities learned the baby had been spotted at the Days and Nights Inn on Bear Valley Road earlier in the day on Saturday.
Detectives made contact with family, friends and acquaintances of the child's mother, Tina Baxter, without any leads.
It was unclear where the baby was found.
Baxter was arrested on charges of child endangerment.
