3 shot dead before house set on fire in Lancaster

A homicide investigation is underway after three people were found dead in the scene of a house fire in Lancaster.

Three people were shot to death Saturday morning at a home in Lancaster that was on fire. One person in that fire was rushed to the hospital but died the following day, authorities said.

The shooting happened at 1:30 a.m. at a home in the 44500 block of North Tabler Avenue, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reported.

Firefighters were called out to the home at 1:43 a.m. and had the fire out at 2:20 a.m., according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher.

Paramedics rushed one person to a hospital; that person died at 11:59 p.m. Sunday. It was unclear if the fourth person had also been shot.

Three people were found fatally shot at the scene. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified them as 26-year-old Christine Asa-Ca, 24-year-old Edwin Garcia, and 21-year-old Janvi Maquindang.
