PHOENIX (KSAZ) - The Arizona Department of Transportation is reminded drivers that being behind-the-wheel is no place to capture Pikachu.
With popularity soaring for the new smartphone game, Pokemon Go, ADOT wants to remind drivers to avoid picking up their phone and playing the game while driving in Arizona.
"Distracted driving takes many forms, even looking for Pokemon," ADOT Director John Halikowski said. "Although we hope you catch 'em all, it you're not focused on driving with your eyes on the road, you're at a higher risk of injuring or killing yourself and others in a crash. No Pokemon is worth that."
ADOT says overhead signs will display their Pokemon message across Arizona highways all week.
