LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Aloe Blacc and Maya Jupiter were on Good Day LA, talking about their album Christmas Funk and about spending the holidays with their family. Aloe also talked about working with Avicii before his passing.
"He was a great artist, a great musician, and a really nice person. I think his legacy is going to be music that touched people's hearts, that made them happy and gave them some comfort. And also a reminder about mental health awareness and that we all have to do a little bit more to be aware of who's hurting and see what we can do to help them."
Aloe and Maya will be a part of the Sixth Annual Grand Park & The Music Center's alcohol free, family-friendly celebration on New Year's Eve. They're expecting about 50,000 people to attend. Both of them will be performing along with an all-female DJ stage.
