Argument outside Van Nuys strip club leads to shooting; 1 killed

An argument outside of a strip club early Monday in Van Nuys ended in a shooting that left a man dead, authorities said.

Los Angeles police responded just after 2 a.m. to the Red Tie Gentlemen's Club, located in the 15800 block of Stagg Street, on a report of a shooting. Detectives said the victim was a patron and stepped outside to smoke a cigarette.

Four men pulled up in a Dodge Charger and the men began arguing. One of the suspects pulled out a black revolver and opened fire, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The victim was wounded twice in the chest, authorities said. He was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition and later died.

The suspects fled the scene.

Detectives were reviewing area surveillance cameras for clues. Anyone with information was asked to call the Los Angeles Police Department.
