POMONA, Calif. (FOX 11) - A La Habra man has been arrested, suspected of shooting a man in Pomona to death then setting him and his vehicle on fire.
The homicide happened on the 1400 block of S. Park Ave in the early morning of September 20th.
The Pomona Police Department says the victim, identified as David Pena, was parked and sitting in his vehicle after a night of work when a dark colored vehicle pulled alongside his vehicle. Police say without a warning the suspects immediately began firing at Pena, hitting him several times.
Police say the victim's vehicle was then set on fire and the suspect(s) fled the scene.

Homicide investigators identified 26-year-old Gerardo Zendejas as a possible suspect.
On September 26th, he was taken into custody and booked into the Pomona City Jail for murder. The investigation is ongoing and a motive is currently not known, police say.
