Attempted murder suspect arrested by Bell Gardens Police
BELL GARDENS, Calif. - A 47-year-old man was arrested for the attempted murder of another man he allegedly stabbed in Bell Gardens, officials said Sunday.
The assault happened May 3 in a home in the 5900 block of WatcherStreet, said Bell Gardens police Sgt. John Acosta.
Responding officers found a man who had been stabbed numerous times, Acosta continued.
The victim was taken to a hospital.
Detectives identified the suspect who fled the scene as Jose Jaime Ferreira and obtained a warrant for his arrest, Acosta said.
Ferreira was located at about 6 p.m. Friday in Gardena and placed under arrest.
He is being held in L.A. County jail on $2 million bail and is due in court Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. in Downey Superior Court, according to jail records.
