Autistic man found after going missing from Orange County Fair
COSTA MESA, Calif. (FOX 11) - UPDATE: Coxaj has been found safe and is reuniting with his family, the sheriff's office said Sunday morning.
The Orange County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in locating a 21-year-old autistic man who they say walked away from his mother and caretaker while at the Orange County Fair in Costa Mesa.
Gregory Coxaj was last seen about 2 p.m. Saturday at the fair.
Deputies say he is autistic and understands English and Spanish but does not speak. They also say he is mild-mannered and takes medication for psychological issues.
Coxaj is known to carry toothbrushes as a comfort item, they said. He lives in Huntington Park.
He is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information about Coxaj's whereabouts is asked to call the Orange County Sheriff's Department watch commander at 714-628-7170.
