(CNS/FOX 11) - A carjacking suspect led sheriff's deputies on a chase through several areas near South Los Angeles tonight before surrendering in a casino parking lot in Bell Gardens.
The chase began about 8 p.m. by deputies from the sheriff's Compton Station, according to the Sheriff's Information Bureau.
A spike strip appeared to flatten one of the vehicle's tires and the bare rim began spewing a rooster tail of sparks.
The driver then got out of the vehicle about 8:30 p.m. outside the Bicycle Casino and surrendered to deputies who approached the pickup with firearms drawn.
Details about the carjacking were not immediately available.
