Cars collide, catch fire on South LA sidewalk

At least 1 person was hospitalized, authorities said.

SOUTH LOS ANGELES, Calif. - At least one person was taken to the hospital after a fiery crash in South Los Angeles.

The collision happened Saturday morning between two vehicles at 87th and Western Avenue, according to police.

Authorities said one of those vehicles went up onto the sidewalk where it crashed into a building and caught fire. 

The condition of the victim is not known.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
