THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (FOX 11) -- A center that was the place for victims to reunite with the families, in the aftermath of the Borderline Bar & Grill shooting has been repurposed as a place to house evacuees from the wildfires.

Just days ago, Thousand Oaks was struck by a mass shooting that shook the city. Now, 75% of the city has been evacuated, as crews battle massive wildfires. The Thousand Oaks Teen Center stood witness to those two tragic events.

The Red Cross, meanwhile, is helping residents cope, in any way they can. Therapy dogs that were brought in from cities such as Chicago, Denver and Las Vegas are staying around for a few more days.

FOX 11's Zohreen Adamjee reports.
