Chris Brown leaving California after years-long stay in LA
LOS ANGELES - ♫It's never a right time to say goodbye♪ – unless you're singer Chris Brown, who is planning to leave California.
Brown is joining a growing list of public figures leaving California during and/or after the pandemic. The singer, who once introduced himself as a "Country Boy from Tappahannock," in his and T-Pain's hit song "Kiss Kiss," had been a longtime resident of San Fernando Valley prior to this week's announcement.
Brown posted a story on Instagram with the caption, "[LA,] it's been [fun]. Cali will always be my second home but [I] think it's time for me [to try] something different." It is unknown what prompted the singer to want to leave California but he ended the message with a heart emoji.
Brown did not say where he will move to.
About four years ago, FOX 11 was outside his Tarzana home after Brown held a yard sale filled with designer goods. The yard sale drew dozens of fans lining outside his home.
