City of Industry hosts legal street takeover

INDUSTRY, Calif. (FOX 11) - Illegal street takeovers can be dangerous, often deadly. But have you ever heard of a legal street takeover?

Spinning tires and revving engines were on full display at the Industry Hills Expo Center on Thursday. The site offers drivers a dirt track to spin around as they show off their car stunts.

Organizers say it makes street takeovers legal, safe, and arrest-free.

The K-rails separate the crowds from the drivers.

Participants had to pay a $30-dollar fee to bring in their cars to this legal street takeover event and could drive as long as their tired would last.
