Coast Guard intercepts 14 migrants near San Diego

SAN DIEGO - The U.S. Coast Guard and Border Patrol agents stopped a boat carrying illegal migrants off the coast of San Diego on Tuesday.
Border Patrol alerted the Coast Guard around 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday that a small boat was headed north toward the US. Officials intercepted the boat approximately 20 miles off the coast of Point Loma in San Diego.
The Coast Guard released footage of soldiers boarding, showing the boat crammed full of people.
According to the Coast Guard, all 14 people on board were adults, and all claimed to be Mexican.
No other information was immediately available.
The boat intercepted on Tuesday comes one day after another boat was stopped in a similar area, carrying more than 20 migrants.
