Community Champions: Angel City Sports

Football, basketball, golf, name your sport! For those with physical disabilities, Angel City Sports is their champion. Their legacy, leading the paralympic movement in Southern California and creating sports opportunities for anyone with a physical or visual disability.

They are this week's Community Champions story as named by the NFL and LA's Super Bowl Host Committee. They are among 56 organizations honored before Super Bowl LVI, awarded a $10,000 grant and a professionally produced video showcasing their work.

Paralympian Ezra Frech co-founded Angel City Sports with his father Clayton Frech. Clayton says they are excited about the 2028 Olympics and Paralympics coming to Los Angeles.

LA's Super Bowl Legacy Program is giving out three-quarters of a million dollars in grants to be shared among the 56 honorees. Pro football season is well underway, but Sofi Stadium had these VIPs already on the field this summer.
