ENCINO, Calif. (FOX 11) - There’s a new farmer’s market in the San Fernando Valley.
Encino Hospital Medical Center held a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday to introduce their new market. The farmer’s market will provide patients, their families and medical staff to easy access to healthy, local, farm fresh food.
The market is also open to the public. It’s open every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the healing garden.
Hilda Avanessian, the Director of Business Development and Marketing for the hospital, says all proceeds from the market will go to public schools in Encino and Sherman Oaks.
The Sherman Oaks Hospital will have the same farmer’s market Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
