The coroner on Tuesday identified the infant found dead behind a mortuary in Bellflower as the 8-month-old daughter of a missing Northern California man.

She was identified by the Los Angeles County coroner's office as 8-month-old Alexia Rose Echeverria. An autopsy was pending, so there was no immediate word on how the child died, however, detectives believe she died in Sacramento.

The child was reportedly last seen on Friday night with her father, Alexander Echeverria, 22. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the two were last seen driving in Bellflower in a gray 2014 VW Jetta, with California license number 7FFT866.

When the missing person report was released, law enforcement said that Echeverria suffers from depression and his family was concerned about his well being. Authorities are still searching for him.
