Crews battle 'Brook Fire' in the Cajon Pass
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - Emergency crews are battling a 185-acre fire that erupted in the Cajon Pass on Wednesday afternoon.
According to fire officials, the Brook Fire is burning at a moderate to rapid rate of spread.
The containment is at 75 percent.
Currently, no structures are threatened.
No injuries have been reported.
Road Closures:
Due to the fire road closures are in place for:
- Cajon Blvd from Kenwood Blvd north to Cleghorn Rd.
- Lytle Creek Rd. is now closed at Glen Helen Blvd. Local traffic only at this time.
There are no evacuations at this time.
The road into Lytle Creek is only open to residents.
The Cajon Pass US Forest Service Firefighters, along with San Bernardino County and Cal Fire are responding to the fire west of Interstate 15.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
