Crews knock down Walnut Fire burning near Rosemead golf course
ROSEMEAD, Calif. - A brush fire sparked in Rosemead on Friday afternoon.
The fire was being called the Walnut Fire and had reportedly burned approximately 3-4 acres as of 3:30 p.m. Friday.
The fire first sparked around 12:15 p.m. near the intersection of Walnut Grove Ave and Rush Street.
Firefighters quickly responded and said that conditions were favorable allowing them to attack the blaze from the air and their ground resources.
The nearby Whittier Narrows Golf Course was threatened but was not damaged by the fire.
No injuries were reported. There were no reports of any structures damaged.
