Major commercial fire guts textile building near downtown LA

Fire investigators were working to determine what caused a major commercial fire at a textile building in downtown Los Angeles on the night of Nov. 25

Firefighters knocked a large blaze at a textile building in the South Los Angeles area.

The Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to a call of a fire at a 2-story commercial building in the 4800 block of South Alameda Street in the Central-Alameda neighborhood a little after 7:45 p.m. Thursday.

Massive fire causes South LA building's roof to collapse

Firefighters are working to take down a massive blaze at a South Los Angeles commercial building.

The fire caused the roof of one of the buildings to collapse, LAFD said. More than 100 firefighters worked to take down the large fire.

Fire investigators were working to determine if it was related to a fire at the same location that sparked on Tuesday. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
