Death investigation underway after burned body found in Joshua Tree

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man whose burned body was found in a dry lake bed in Joshua Tree on Friday morning.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department says a caller reported discovering the man's body in Joshua Tree, near Sunway Road and Rosehedge Avenue which is about 135 miles east of Los Angeles.

Detectives are working to identify the man and are seeking any witnesses.
