In Depth: A History of Roses

The earliest Tournament of Roses welcomed 3,000 spectators to its first parade filled with orange-blossom-bedecked, horse-drawn carriages. More than a century later, the parade floats are a marvel of state of the art technology, all tucked away beneath flowers and other all-natural materials.

In Depth: A History of Roses looks into the history of the Rose Parade, the coverage by KTTV, the stories of the Wrigley Mansion which serves as the Tournament house, and also shares the details of this year’s parade.

Hal Eisner interviews the Mayor of Pasadena, the Rose Queen and her court, as well as the Tournament of Roses President 2025, Ed Morales.

He also talks to the President and CEO of float-building company Artistic Entertainment Services, Craig Bugajski, about the creation of this year’s floats.
