Deputies searching for suspect who stole vehicle, crashed into Mission Viejo liquor store

The Orange County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a man who they say stole a silver Mercedes sedan and plowed the car into a nearby liquor store.

The sheriff's department says the vehicle was stolen from a home in Mission Viejo.

At 4:05 a.m., the vehicle smashed through the front of a liquor store on the 25000 block of Charlinda Drive, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported.

Video footage released by the department then shows the driver getting out of the sedan and walking away from the scene with the trays of lottery tickets.

The suspect can be seen wearing black pants, a black shirt and gray shoes.

The Orange County Sheriff's station asked anyone with information regarding the suspect to call them at 714-647-7000, or OC Crime Stoppers at 855-TIP-OCCS.
