Driver crashes into fire hydrant, power pole in Boyle Heights
LOS ANGELES - One person was hospitalized after crashing into a fire hydrant and power pole in Boyle Heights, according to authorities.
The single-vehicle crash happened in the area of Soto and Valley.
The collision sent water shooting at least 100 feet into the air.
The victim, apparently a man in his 30s, had to be cut out of the vehicle by firefighters. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
