Looking at the aftermath of the crash, it's fair to say it's a miracle anyone survived. The gallery and apartment where Artos Sucedo, Liz Garibaldi and their 13-year-old son live was destroyed when a sedan and an SUV crashed through the building off 7th street.

But the family is alive, and physically OK. But they have lost the space they've put their life savings into. Adding to the nightmare, their insurance had just been canceled by the company that moved out of state.

The community has set up a GoFundMe, hoping to help them get through this nightmare.

Long Beach police say the driver of one of the vehicles, identified as 32-year-old Luis Amador, has been booked for felony driving under the influence. Investigators say they have to interview the female driver of the SUV.

The driver accused of causing the crash suffered from minor injuries and was arrested for felony DUI.

They are looking at security images from buildings up the street, investigating what other business owners are alleging - that the vehicles were street racing.
